On February 14th MCP Entertainment announced that Jang Hyung-don’s mother had died. MCP Entertainment represents Jung Hyung-don, who is forty-three years old. His mother was seventy-five years old. Her funeral service is scheduled for the morning of February 16th. The death was not a sudden one. Jang Hyung-don had revealed on a variety show last year that his mother had been hospitalized for a stroke.

Jung Hyung-don is prinicipally a comedian and television presenter. Though well-known to many in the South Korean entertainment industry, he works mainly in variety shows, only occasionally making cameo appearance in scripted television dramas. His last such cameo was in “Please Don’t Date Him” which aired on MBCevery1 last year.
