The March issue of Dazed is close to release, and features a new star in the form of Yoon Chan-young from the recent popular drama “All of Us Are Dead” on Netflix. The photoshoot consists of Yoon Chan-young wearing stylish clothes in empty houses, sometimes accompanied by a large stuffed bear in poor condition. There’s also an accompanying interview, where Yoon Chan-young expresses interest in meeting his friends from the high school zombie drama once more.

Yoon Chan-young echoed the point made by “All of Us Are Dead” actors in other interviews that filming on set was a genuinely scary experience, owing to the continuing presence of zombie extras. Yoon Chan-young claimed that even while relaxing with co-stars in ready rooms and joking around, there was always the feeling they would return to a grim atmosphere of death. He believed that the dual emphasis on physical as well as emotional performances greatly assisted in the show’s emotional power.
Yoon Chan-young also had more direct positive words to say about co-stars. He described Yoo In-soo as a brother, and saying he wasn’t expecting too much chemistry because of their lack of screen time together, and their separate rehearsals. But Yoon Chan-young was shocked at the resentment and enmity which Yoo In-soo was able to bring to the role. This likewise helped Yoon Chan-young‘s own performane, as his character was in a similar position in regards to the one played by Yoo In-soo.
Yoon Chan-young also mentioned that the on-screen kiss with his co-star Park Ji-hu was his first. He noted that Park Ji-hu was actually much cooler about it than him, despite her being two years younger than him and actually still high school age. Purportedly Park Ji-hu thought the kiss was no big deal since it was just acting. “All of Us Are Dead” was released worldwide on Netflix this past January 28th.
