On the 22nd, the movie “Gangnam” announced that it cranked-in on the 10th, announcing the casting news of Ji Il-joo and Jiyeon.
“Gangnam” is another Korean zombie film following “Train to Busan”, “Peninsula”, and “Kingdom”, depicting Gangnam, which becomes the center of chaos as people with unknown symptoms appear and others risk their lives to survive in it.
Ji Il-joo plays the role of Hyeon-seok, who struggles to escape from the work trapped by zombies taking over Gangnam. Hyeon-seok is a person who once dreamed of becoming a promising Taekwondo national team player and Ji Il-joo is expected to show a struggle to survive in the movie and strong action scenes.
Jiyeon plays the role of Min-jeong, a character who risks her life to survive zombies with Hyeon-seok. She is a bold character who is more powerful than anyone else when it comes to injustice. Jiyeon is expected to show a new transformation through “Gangnam” with her passionate acting.
In addition, actors Jo Kyung-hoon, Choi Sung-min-I, Jung Yi-joo, and Tak Teu-in, who have long been known as veteran actors through theater stages, dramas and movies, are expected to join to add vitality to the play.
